Chicago Bike Winter Art Show

Tomorrow night, Friday, is the 14th annual Chicago Bike Winter Art Show.  Presented by Chicago Critical Mass at Pilsen's Chicago Urban Art Society, this show will feature artwork and installations dealing with bike culture and policies in Chicago.

One of the exhibitions is by co-curator Stuart Hall and is titled the X-Ray Project.  He will be presenting a series of x-rays depicting the aftermath of bike accidents in Chicago, along with stories of how they occurred.

Artist Maria Scillepi asked 30 Chicago bike messengers to wear GPS trackers for a day.  She'll be presenting visuals based on the data from the devices.  This is part of an ongoing project she's working on titled, Living Brushstroke.
