Green Velvet at Millennium Park

Green Velvet aka Cajmere aka Curtis Jones will be playing a free set of his music at the Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park tomorrow Saturday at noon.  I miss the Summerdance house music series that ran for several summers a few years ago, so I'm glad that the Edible Audible picnic series has at least taken some of its place.  I've seen him play a few sets over the years both at Summerdance and in Detroit, and each time he played a wide ranging set.  This should be fun.  It's a 45-minute performance so don't be late.

More info from the city's site...
Chicago’s own Curtis Jones has a unique electronic music style influenced by the sounds he’d been exposed to as a science-fiction-loving, video-game-playing kid, while growing up in the city known for its house and gospel music. By recording under his successful aliases, Green Velvet, for his techno style of music, and Cajmere, for more of his house music sounds, it allows him to expand the boundaries of dance music through his two internationally known record labels, Cajual and Relief Records.
