Wicker Park's Irazu, the Costa Rican restaurant with the famous oatmeal shakes, is celebrating its 20th anniversary today with a block party. I commented to the manager there one day how much I always like the music that they play in the restaurant. He said that it was thanks to the many dope DJ's like Jesse de la Pena who eat there regularly and give Irazu mix cd's to play. Many of those same DJ's will be playing sets for this block party along with a live samba band. There'll also be art by Victor Montanez and an open skate jam hosted by Uprise Skateshop.
